Usability Discussion:

A place where comments about the usability of this site are gathered, collated, summarised and used to inform the Transition Network web project as well as aid the development of Transition East

We're going to use this page to collect, collate and summarise issues that are raised regarding the usability of this site. It's hoped that this will aid the development of 'help' pages (you'll notice that there aren't any yet). So if, as you use the site, you find some things difficult (impossible!) or dysfunctional either post a comment on the forum or use the links at the end of this page.

Transition East is one of the pilots being run by the Transition Network, the others are investigating how information and knowledge can be shared between theme groups (at a national level) and how training and re-skilling opportunities can be offered in a single place. All three pilots are informing the Transition web project which has been described as;

'A set of networks of people taking responsibility and providing support for different aspects of Transition Network, for example, people looking after local initiatives in a region, people from similar theme group to share best practice and support each other'

All three pilots are undergoing the same testing and a volunteer, Melissa Worth, is hoping to interview a few people about their experiences. To get things started here are a few of the questions that are being asked; if you follow the various links (below) you'll be taken to a page where you can answer the question by adding a comment - you have to be logged on so there isn't any anonymity, but don't hold back it's important that we get real answers:

If you'd like to talk to Melissa leave your name on the page below and Gary or I will forward your email address:
