We will share in our successes, grapple with our issues and identify people who can provide specialist support and expertise.
The provisional programme:
- Welcome from our Diss hosts
- Mapping exercise to find out who's doing what and where
- Open Space - (YOU set the agenda)
- Lunch. Soup and bread kindly provided by Transition Diss; please bring a dish to share
- Highlights of Transition successes, such as the mass training of local councillors at ...(you'll have to attend to find out where and how!).
- Transition Troubleshooting - what do you want help with? Perhaps you have a shortage of volunteers or skills; conflicts in the group; running out of steam; know exactly what you want to achieve but not how to do it. This workshop will bring together the people who have been down this path with those who haven't. We can't guarantee that we can find the answers, but we know a man (or woman) who can!
Admission charge: free. Suggested donation to cover costs: £3.
The United Reform Church is in the centre of Diss, on Mere St. across from the Somerfield supermarket, about 0.8 miles walk (16 minutes) from Diss Rail Station. (Click on map to enlarge it.)
Parking in Diss on a Saturday isn't great. There are a few car parks, (other than the supermarkets) and you have to go around the one-way system. See my Google map.
