Issues for meeting on 5th July
Up to Our next events
[Note: I am sending this through TransitionEast to see if you get it, but as I don't have confidence in that yet, I'll send it by normal email too.]
Hi folks,
I'm sorry that I'll be missing the meeting on 5th July, so I want to bring up some issues you might want to discuss.
Firstly, there is a very interesting discussion beginning around the area, about the next stage for Transition Town people who seriously want to make changes in their life style. Small groups form 'Transition Circles' who meet regularly, usually over a shared meal of local food, discuss how they can live more sustainably, and report on the changes they have made since the last meeting.
I've attached the minutes of Sustainable Bungay's recent meeting, which reports on their discussion of this on page 3 (and the rest is interesting to see what they are doing.)
Secondly, several of us have been talking about holding another East Anglian Regional Meeting, perhaps in October. Diss is quite a central location and might be a good place to hold this. It would mean that we would have to take on much of the organisational work, but perhaps the new Regional Support Group would help too. What do you think? Possible venues could be the United Reform Church, or the DC3 (which is right near the station).
Hope the meeting goes well.
Yours, Gary
